Mary

Mary
Whenever I look into my own dark eyes
I see another and that other
Is my dearest loving mother
From whose passing I seek to recover
Only to discover
That she is no longer an other
We are now one another
Son and mother
Like isis and osirus
She is always near us
And can even hear us
As I beseach
In this speech
To always be within reach

Jesus and mary
Life on the prarie
So what care we
If we have to tarry
Here on earth
Where there is no mirth
From death to birth
As the ancients believed
But they were maybe as self-deceived
As we are happy to be relieved
To have been joyfully conceived
And by mary’s love fully reprieved
From a life without meaning
And just plain old seeming
To be alive and beaming
In a troubled world that’s teaming and steaming
With pain and sorrow
As its legacy for tomorrow

Named after mare
Sea mother of all life
In her there is no ill strife
Just endless life after life

A mother a wife and a sister too
But for me she was my friend
To the very end
A godsend
Meant to transcend
And mend

“mary had a little lamb
Its fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that mary went
The lamb was sure to go.”

I in thee and thee in me
No longer ego but just we
As he in she
And she in me
So I can see
And ultimately be

A force of nature
Or an act of god
The goddess in us all
Not the devouring maw
She goes by many names
From time immemorial
And that which is eternal
In the ever present now
Isis, Astarte, venus, mare
Mary the mother of god
Mary the mother of all

Now she rests with the ages
In the arms of the sages
As strife here still rages
Eternity turns the pages
But forever mary’s love
Drifts down from above
Constant and eternal
The truth in a kernel
A force devine
One out of the many
Now the many from the one

Happy am I to be her son
